Why go solo when you can walk your dog?

I don’t really like hiking, but I am willing to go at least once a year. This time, once again, I chose the volunteer activity “Tails and Trails” with the concept of “Why not hike and camp with your dog? I am very excited to participate in this hike because I like dogs, mountains, and camping in this particular sequence. Also, I am very happy to see the amazing views of the Dhauladhar, Pir Panjal, and Kinnaur mountains. An added bonus for architecture lovers is visiting the local Prashar Rishi temple built by the lake. It blends perfectly with the background with its charming Himachal design.

I really want to meet all the dogs we are going to hike. This time it is five o’clock.

All these dogs have undergone pre-physical examinations. They follow a personalized diet plan based on their general eating habits and allergies (if any). In addition, they have also exercised so that they can stay healthy and can fully enjoy the unique experience during the hike.

 Day 0

In the evening we leave Delhi for Mandi. The dog was unleashed in the bus. After being angry and barking at each other for a while, they settled peacefully with their parents. Your comfort is very important to us. Considering that the dog needs to urinate, it is obvious that we will take a break during our road trip.

 Day 1

 Biaggi

Biaggi, Himachal Pradesh, India by Nancy Johri

From Baji, the royal Prashar lake trek began. The lake is nearly 7.5 kilometers away. With five cute puppies, we began to walk in the charming paths surrounded by trees, mountains, plants, birds, streams, and fresh air. The hike begins with a steep ascent in open country. We can see rhododendrons there and have also noticed the trail gradually ascending over a period of time.

I started humming my favorite song “If I can, I will” to distract my attention. But it was useless. I noticed that due to the uneven and steep terrain, even doing this takes a lot of effort. I’m tired. My ears hurt a lot (probably due to the high altitude) and my legs are very tired. Throwing all these thoughts to the bottom, I continued to sing slowly, following in the footsteps of a baby.

The greatest consolation of hiking is that the beauty of nature enveloped me from head to toe. It is a comforting feeling to stroke countless kinds of plants and flowers with your fingers. He knew he couldn’t see all this in Delhi. This is what allowed me to continue to appreciate everything I experienced at the time, including pain.

On the other hand, all dogs are very energetic. They used to run very far first, check the path, and then return to their teacher to accompany them. They are out on a hike, and their “back and forth” moments make me envious. While humans desperately wait for the end of the hike, these bouncy fur balls enjoy the trail in the most authentic way.

Somehow hiking takes less effort and on the other hand, it makes me think “I may not do any hiking next year. This is like a trap. Once you start hiking, there is no turning back. No car can take you directly to your destination. So, what if someone gets sick?  OMG, I miss my comfortable bed. I want to cover my dream with a blanket. Maybe I should focus more on improving my stamina now. But how can these dogs do this so easily, without even hitting the gym once? Oooh! ! ”

As we approached the camp, there was a long and steep walk. “Maybe I should invest in a good pair of walking shoes,” I thought to myself as I thought about the “Wild” cover I was looking at. “If I have the right pair of shoes, my feet may not hurt as much.” I put on the ones I used when running.  It is getting dark and we have not yet reached the place. With this girl, it’s the first time he’s going on a hike. She couldn’t stand the pain anymore, tears streaming down her face. I don’t like the mountains. Why did I come here? “Because all of this is necessary now,” I replied, reminding myself of the same thing. I said: “You are now I don’t understand, but when you go home, you may miss it all. “And she kept crying. But the best part
